Implementation of Local Development Plans in the framework of the Natural Resources Governance Project in Central Africa

The Natural Resources Governance Project in Central African Republic, financed by the World Bank, has started its component 2, implemented by the consortium TEREA-FRM, aiming at the elaboration of Local Development Plans in the prefecture of Lobaye, namely : Bale-Loko, Boganda, Bongongo-Gaza, Lobaye (Ngotto) and Moboma

The objective of the PGRN project is to improve governance and strengthen the capacities of the Central African Republic's institutions, particularly in the context of its forestry and mining sector development strategy. Component 2 of this project aims to support forest communities in planning and financing priority development activities.

The process launched in 2020 allowed for the participation and inclusion of all stakeholders and a workshop to validate the LDPs was held in M'Baïki, the capital of the Lobaye Prefecture, between December 14 and 17, 2021.
The support of these communes was entrusted to two NGOs: Echelle and Association Batali, under the technical supervision of the consortium, TEREA being the leader.

Our team continues its mobilization to support the process of elaboration of the LDP in six communes of the Mambéré and the Mambéré Kadéi during 2022. We will keep you informed of the developments!
